TermNest is an SSH app that runs on your phone.
Data we collect: none. The app has no backend, no accounts, and no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking.
Data stored on your device:
- The servers you add (name, address, port, user, group, tmux session) and the server fingerprints you trusted (known_hosts), kept in the app's private storage.
- Passwords, private keys and passphrases you enter, encrypted with the Android Keystore.
- This data is not backed up to the cloud and is never sent to us or anyone else.
Buying TermNest Pro: payment is handled by Google Play under Google's policies. We never receive your card or payment details; the app only asks Google Play on your device whether you have bought Pro.
Fingerprint/face lock: handled by the operating system. The app only learns whether unlocking succeeded and never receives biometric data.
Backup files: created only when you ask, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a password you choose, and saved where you choose. We never receive these files and cannot open them.
Add-ons (Docker, Monitor, DB, Runbook): they run commands on your servers over SSH. Database profiles, scripts, monitoring settings and run history are stored on your device; database passwords are encrypted with the Android Keystore. When you turn on alerts, TermNest Monitor checks your servers periodically in the background; results are shown only in notifications and the widget on your device.
Network access: the app only connects to servers you enter, over encrypted SSH. Terminal session content travels directly between your phone and your server.
Deleting data: delete individual servers in the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
Children: the app is a system administration tool and is not directed at children.
Changes: if this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
